ELAHI WELFARE FOUNDATION EWF
EWF was established in memory of our late father, Sheikh Amar Elahi, Advocate. The main objective is the betterment of poor, rural inhabitants. We started our efforts from the village Tajak/Rangoo in 2004 and spread to
the entire district of Attock. It is supported
by Charity, Zakat, Sadqa, Fidia and Fitrana. Zakat is compulsory payment on the minimum wealth (Nisab) of every mature Muslim and is payable at 2.5% on the Nisab. Sadqa is charity distributed becoming healthy after sickness. Fidia is a cash payment for each fast if not kept. Fitrana is charity given to poor at the end of Ramazan. EWF is not funded by government or foreign agency.

EDUCATION
We have implemented numerous facilities in 1,287 government schools, out of which 654 were for female students. However, despite these efforts, the literacy rate remains disappointingly low at 26.3%. Our achievements include providing schools with essential amenities such as water pumps, fans, toilets, and computers. By continuing to prioritize education and invest in our schools, we hope to see a significant improvement in the literacy rate in the near future.
HEALTH
Our organization extends our support to rural areas that are in dire need of healthcare assistance. We strive to improve the quality of medical services in these areas by working closely with RHCs and BHUs. As an example of our efforts, we have successfully equipped the RHC in Rangoo village with top-of-the-line surgical, dental, and diagnostic equipment. Moreover, we have generously donated medication and food to patients in need at DHQ Hospital in tehsil Attock.
SOCIAL WELFARE
We are committed to improving the lives of the underprivileged, and as such we offer a diverse range of services to address their needs. These include interest-free loans, assistance with home improvement projects, provision of sewing machines to enhance skills and generate income, aid to orphans and widows, donations of furniture, disability support, Thalassemia and Anti-TB care, support for the Manzor Elahi Orphanage, assistance for cancer patients, and aid for women in need.
